Duo Recital: Ingrid and Byron Return
Fifteen years once founding the Seattle Baroque Orchestra, and following a three-year hiatus, "exciting, furious and exuberant”(Seattle Post-Intelligencer) violinist Ingrid Matthews and "keyboard wizard" (The Advocate) Byron Schenkman are along once more and bursting at the seams with the chemistry and virtuosity that build them one amongst the best musical pairs on the Baroque scene.
Some genial Corelli can delight the senses, some magnificent Bach can nourish the soul (with Ingrid scaling the musical Everest of the d-minor Chaccone), and a variety of 18th-century Italians can bring out the crackling energy, wit and mercurial mischief that these 2 recent friends and partners therefore perfectly embody.
